About Our Name

At Zia Human Resources, we aim to embody the values of respect, light, and connection in everything we do. The name “Zia” was chosen with care, inspired by its Hebrew meaning of “radiance” and the vision of bringing clarity and positivity to the workplace.

However, we also recognize that the Zia symbol holds deep spiritual significance for the Zia Pueblo, an Indigenous community in New Mexico. While the Zia symbol is also part of our state’s identity, it is sacred to the Zia people, representing their worldview and traditions. Out of respect for this cultural heritage, we want to acknowledge its origins and clarify that our use of “Zia” honors the meaning of radiance and light without any intention of appropriation.

We are committed to fostering inclusivity, respect, and integrity in all aspects of our work, and we carry this intention in the relationships we build with our clients and communities.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
